Week 1: 8/28-9/3

Sunday:

I went to church with my roommate Makayla Wride. She is from Spanish Fork, UT. We thought that church started at 10, but when we got there sacrament meeting was already half way over. Apparently church starts at 9:30. It was also difficult to find what chapel we met in. Luckily we had the right church building! There are two chapels in our building, and 9 YSA wards meet there. I am in the 16th ward.

Monday: 

The first day of classes. My first class, Biology, started at 7:30. I decided to walk to classes, because it is only about 3 or 4 blocks. However what I didn't realize was how steep it was. I made for a very tiring walk, especially with a heavy backpack. I haven't walked since, I've just taken the bus!  

Other classes I had on Monday were: Elementary Music, The Farm in Literature, and Family Finance. My biggest class has 435 people in it. My smallest class has 30. I also had a Book of Mormon Institute class. 

That night I went with my roommate to FHE. We met at one of the counselors in the bishopric's house. They had a variety of yard games and then we had cake and ice cream. I was able to meet a few of the members that live in the same building as me.

Tuesday:

On Tuesday, my first class didn't start until 9, but I woke up at 5 anyway to make it early to Walmart to pick up some school supplies and food, and to avoid any traffic... I'm sure soon I'll get used to driving in the more busy parts of town, but I think for now, I'll stick with going early in the morning. :) I had an Introduction to Elementary Education class and a Physics class. I also had a Family History Institute class. 

Later that night I went with my roommates to a place called Swig. They serve a variety of pop and fruit drinks as well as cookies. I just got a cookie, but it was good and it was night to get to know some of my other roommates. The other twos' names are Taegan and Bailee. They are both really nice, but don't always follow the standards I've set for myself. :) 

Wednesday:

This was another long day with the same classes as Monday. I didn't do much besides go to classes and homework. 

Thursday:

I had the same classes as Tuesday. Normally I will have a Physics lab on Thursday as well, but that won't start for another week. After classes, I went with my roommates Makayla and Taegan to the football game. Utah State was playing Weber State. Utah State won by quite a ways, so it wasn't too exciting, but it was a cool experience.

Friday: 

Friday was my easiest day. I had three classes, but I will normally just had two. I had Biology, Elementary Music, and Farm Literature. Usually I won't have Elementary Music on Friday. But I was done by 12:30. The rest of the day I took a nap and just relaxed. All my roommates went home for the weekend, so I had the apartment to myself. 

Saturday: 

I started the day off by going to a little grocery store and stocking up on some food. I then just cleaned and worked on homework. It was good to have a break from everything.
